Bike Parade
The July Fourth bike parade on Saturday July 2nd was so much fun! Many thanks to Meg Atkin, Jeanine and Millicent Getz, and Elisabeth Parker.
All of the supplies were a big hit with participants and bikes, trikes and people were super festive and decorated to the hilt. We are so lucky that the weather held up!
The Fire Department always makes the parade special by providing the escort and the cookout.

About IPP
With Community, For Community
Island People's Project creates opportunities and fosters connections for everyone on Fishers Island by providing cultural events, educational programs, and natural spaces throughout the year.
The Island People's Project was founded in 1967 as an educational day camp that met on the baseball field. Its principal mission was to unite year-round residents with the summer community.
Today, 54 years later, thanks to your ongoing support IPP continues to run The Morning Program, the island’s only summer day program for all our children. Furthermore, thanks to your generosity, over the years we have been able to broaden our work.
With your help, today IPP is responsible for the care and oversight of Dock Beach and the baseball field, family-friendly holiday events such as the Fishers Island’s Fife & Drum July 4th Parade, the Halloween parade, and Easter celebration as well as the July and August Craft Fair, F.I. seniors’ dinner & cultural outings, and the House & Garden Tour.
