About IPP
Mission
Island People's Project's mission is to create opportunities
and foster connections for everyone on Fishers Island
by providing cultural events, educational programs,
and natural spaces throughout the year.
With Community, For Community!

Founded in 1967
The Island People's Project was founded in 1967 as an educational day program that met on the baseball field. Its principal mission was to unite year-round residents with the summer community.

50+ Years Later
Today, 50+ years later, thanks to your ongoing support,
IPP manages natural spaces, sponsors cultural events
and programs year round and continues to run The Morning Program,
the island’s only summer day program for all our children.
